Rio Cinético

The proposal of Galeria Rio Cinético is to experiment with old images of Rio de Janeiro to invent relations and new ways of seeing the city. More than informing or representing, we want to propose fabulations and memories about the pasts and futures of the image by reclaiming diverse materials - photography, cinema, press material and other documents. They are like fragile flashes that the images link us to what was. To see, re-see, select, assemble and disassemble images and narratives of Carioca life is also to open a gap between the history of events and the history of images.
