Poolside swims fueled by Passport whiskey and assorted canapés. Phosphorescent lights to better illuminate the delicacies of the "chief da house." One of the best and most abundant feijoadas of carioca nightlife. This is how social columnist Roy Sugar described Boate Piscina, in a note from July 1970, in the newspaper Correio da Manhã.

The spatial layout begins with an illustration of a palm tree in the foreground on the left, followed by highlighted text in the upper right. The text mentions the establishment's name and its services, including bar, nightclub, and restaurant. It also states that it is located near Curva do "8", Luz Negra, and Palco Delícia. The poster highlights that it is open day and night and features a highly advanced discotheque exclusively run by Big Boy and Nelsinho Marçal.

It was, after all, the only Rio nightclub with a "swimming pool and open-air dance floor," as the ads of that time highlighted, when the club in Barra da Tijuca was a hit, thanks to the novel spirit it embodied. As time went by, however, the place gradually grew somewhat rundown, and Boate Piscina ceased to exist in the 1980s. In its place, new access roads to the beach were built.
