The students produced a video about the Museu Nacional, located in Quinta da Boa Vista, one of the most important museums in Brazil. The project presents not only the museum's history — as it was once the royal family's residence — but also its scientific, cultural, and educational relevance. The Museu Nacional houses an extremely rich collection, with items from archaeology, anthropology, paleontology, natural history, and cultures from various parts of the world. By carrying out this project and highlighting the 2018 fire, the students emphasize the importance of museums as spaces for preserving memory, producing knowledge, and democratizing access to culture and science, as well as reinforcing the need to value and protect the country's historical heritage. ERRATUM: The Museu Nacional was created by decree of D. João VI, not D. Pedro VI, as stated in the video.
