In this work, the student brings a sensitive perspective to the problem of flooding in the community of Rio das Pedras. Her work combines personal reflections with interviews of residents, which help reveal the impacts and challenges faced by those who live in the region. When the rain falls, it doesn't affect everyone the same way. It is always the peripheral populations, who live in risk areas without adequate infrastructure, who suffer the worst consequences. More than dealing with the effects of water, these communities face environmental racism and limited access to the right to the city.
