PEJA 162

The neighborhood of Cordovil emerged from a sugar mill owned by Bartolomeu Siqueira Cordovil, a Portuguese nobleman descended from Spaniards from the city of Córdoba. His mill, called the "engenho do Provedor", was inherited by his son, Francisco Cordovil, and in 1912, the land was subdivided into lots, giving rise to the neighborhood.

The neighborhood has a Supervia station, Cordovil station (Saracuruna line), and the PEJA 162 class group went to a resident's house to hear stories about the neighborhood and the station. Check it out in the video below!
