Three groups of smiling people in a colorful illustration.Image description: The image is a colorful illustration featuring three groups of people arranged horizontally, from left to right. On the far left, we see two women and a boy smiling and interacting. The woman on the left has long, wavy hair and is wearing a light green top and black pants. The boy is sitting on her lap, with a friendly smile. To her right, another woman with long, white hair is sitting on the floor, also smiling. She is wearing a dark green top and black pants. In the center, two women are standing, both smiling and looking to the right. One of them has long, wavy hair and is wearing a light green dress, while the other has long, white hair and is also wearing a light green dress. On the right, a group of people stands in front of an open refrigerator, looking excited and happy. The refrigerator is white with green details. All the figures have long, colorful hair and are wearing various pastel-toned clothes.

Yes? How can I help you?

I am writing to tell you of longing, and it wouldn't be any different after so many months without seeing you. You are very special to me and I know I am to you, you must suffer from longing just as much as I do, and that is why I write.

Longing is truly extinguished only by reunion. But, until then, it's better to know that we don't yearn for it alone.

I've been doing many things besides thinking of you and looking forward to seeing you, and I'd like you to tell me about your accomplishments too in return. I've been drawing relatively less, but I still enjoy the feeling of ink on paper enough not to give up the habit.

Now I usually write down my reflections (the kind I used to unload on your ears unexpectedly, without prior warning, and from which we'd spend hours on end searching for a solution or an ending) in a notebook. No one besides you, and now the pages of the notebook, appreciates my long-windedness. I've been thinking a lot about saudade. My notebook is full of attempts to describe this feeling, but I haven't come up with anything very conclusive, and that has been consuming me almost as much as saudade itself.

I miss when we were younger, but could it be a desire to live carefree today that makes me remember those times? Could it be a desire to see you and talk almost every day today just like it used to be? Or could it be purely nostalgia? Honestly, I don't know.

And what should we do to describe feelings? I always thought it wasn't possible, and that maybe we didn't need to do it, but there are so many that sometimes we get lost... And what should we choose as a solution for the unsolvable? What do we do with this dilemma, my angel?

It would be simpler for us to just meet up soon and find the solution together, or just put an end to this longing once and for all.

Sincerely,

Bia M.
