The work is a video that, through interviews, presents the traditional Praça XV market, in downtown Rio de Janeiro. More than simply portraying the market's day-to-day workings — with its vendors, products, and negotiations —, the video reveals the importance of this space for the city. The market is not just a place of commerce, but also a place of encounters and cultural exchange. It is part of Rio's history, connecting generations of workers and regular visitors who, daily, build their networks of sociability and livelihood there. The work thus highlights how these popular spaces remain fundamental to the informal economy, to urban culture, and to the preservation of ways of life that endure amid the city's transformations and challenges.
