To begin with, we don't think Costa Barros is the same neighborhood it used to be, because nowadays you can't make the most of it. In the old days, Costa Barros was wonderful in every way! There were lots of stalls with all kinds of video games, food, drinks, etc. Obviously, we haven't lived here all that long, but we have our opinions.

We live in the LIZARD HILL GENERATION

In Costa Barros there are many places we like: there's Campo do Leleco, the Quitanda square and, right next to it, there's also a court and a synthetic-turf field. We've played ball there many times!

On the left side, we see part of the field with green grass and a small patch of red dirt. In the background, there are multi-story residential buildings with colorful rooftops. On the right, the field continues with more green grass. On the horizon, we see a line of trees and vegetation.

Campo do Leleco

There's also the UPA Costa Barros, which is practically a landmark of the neighborhood; there's the Marco market, which is very old.

The main entrance is open, with a person walking inside. On the left, there is a metal fence with railings and a blue staircase. In the background, there is a large tree and part of a white wall.

UPA - Costa Barros

Since we haven't lived here for very long, we asked our relatives, and they said that a long, long time ago... this place was a farm - it was all, literally, mud!

They said that at that time it was great to live here, there wasn't any problem like there is nowadays. Honestly, if I, who developed this text, could go back in time, I would go back to when Costa Barros was a farm, and I would try to have a more peaceful life.

That's difficult nowadays, with so many shootouts, invasions and police operations.
